Reawakened Man is a Korean YLAB webtoon and the 6th Super String webtoon. It was produced by YLAB, written by Yongtaek Chae and is illustrated by Jaehan Kim.

On Naver Webtoon, episodes are released every Saturday for both seasons. Season 1 was first released on May 7, 2016 and completed on March 31, 2018. While season 0 released on June 30, 2018 and completed on December 28, 2019. An English official release was serialized on August 10, 2021 with episodes every Tuesday and completed on Novemember 25, 2024. Unforunately, it is now daily pass since December 26, 2024.

It is recommended to read Terror Man first as the main antagonist in Reawakened Man is from Terror Man and the main character in Terror Man, Jungwoo, makes a few appearances. However, it is not absolutely necessary, as the story makes sense on its own without knowing the events in Terror Man.

The events of Season 1 is right before Terror vs Revival by a one year gap. Then, it was after MNSHTYD by unknown years as Siwoo was already an experienced hostess and Hojin Won is incredibly old. What is also known is that season 1 began on Friday April 1st. Then, during Season 0, it during Terror man Season 1 as Jungwoo Min is seen taking classes after the battle of Jinmyung Tower. At an apartment complex, Hwan Seok, an unemployed 29 year old, was playing video games when he hears someone at the door. He opens to see Yerin Cha, a highschool student, demanding the water payment he owes but he doesn't have the money. She then leaves. A short flashback of Hwan applying to universities that later on left in at a huge debt. Back to the present, he enters an interview but due to his behavior, failed. After, he drinks with Yeongha Jeon as the latter berated him that being nearly thirty years old without anything is difficult. He then returns back to his apartment to find gangsters wanting Yerin. A short fight broke up with Hwan being killed when he was stabbed. Simultaneously, Yerin sees the whole thing. The gangsters then dumped his body to the sea.[28] As he dies, he remembers when his father, Junghyeon Seok, was alive; admiring him and his sacrifice to save people at a burning factory. Three days after, Hwan revived believing it was a dream. Yerin arrived as both was confused of the situation. Hwan brought her to a place to pay the water fee but was reprimanded for his misuse of his credit score. Then she buys him food before she encourages him to work as she leaves. As she walks, the gangsters from earlier catches her but was confronted by Hwan. They ran away from Hwan until he catches and fights with one but it caused an accident that kills them. He revives again and again believes it was a dream but finds it was real.[29] |

Just then, a call was made to inform him that he was hired at the CYT Korea and asks to come over. He arrives and been given a tour by Mina Sung, an employee, and gives him the contract. He was confused as to why he was hired despite his failed interview but was explain that the president admired his behavior as he dislike how unfair and intense the work force is like in Korea. He gracefully accepts and went back to his apartment to see a teacher from Yerin's highschool was wondering where was Yerin. Somewhere else, Yerin was captured by the gangsters and their boss, Inwan Jeong, was present.[30] At night, Hwan and the teacher reported the missing girl but the police was uninterested. Enraged, Hwan fights with them until Yeongha arrives to calm the situation. He went back to her apartment to find her phone with a call revealed where they are at. The next day, Hwan enters the Inwan Capital to fight them but was overwhelmed and tied up to be killed. At night, he was placed in a car but broke out of his bonds and grab a hostage; the resulting car plunges into the sea as everyone died. Three days later, Inwan was enraged by their mistakes from the news but then was shocked to see Hwan is alive again. Hwan then uses home made explosives that cause an explosion in the building. Before anything happens, Huijae Kang, Inwan's right hand man, advises that they shouldn't do anything reckless. He then takes Hwan to Yerin's location. At night, the gangsters was going to rape Yerin but she freed herself and runs away. Simultaneously, Huijae takes Hwan to an empty forest to finish him off; with the latter seemingly dead. Yerin find the car but only to see it was own by them. Miraculously, Hwan was alive and knocks out Huijae with his car. They then escapes. After dropping off Yerin, he went back to the building to finish off the gangsters but was ambushed by Huijae and was killed. Three days after, he resurrects in his room and finds that Yerin was in the hospital and her home broken into. Soon he heads to the hospital to find her as he wonders why she was hurt when he gave her a place to hide. A flashback was shown when Yerin arrvies in Hwan's apartment but go distracted of cleaning his room. This allowed the landlady to find her and exposes her to the gangsters nearby. She runs to the roof and shouts for help but the gangster cornered her as Inwon shows her Hwan's dead body. Ultimately, she jumps off and falls, seriously injuring her. At the end of the flashback, Hwan felt guilty for his carelessness and Huijae just arrives to the hospital. Outside, Hwan was disappointed by himself when he hears from a doctor that Hujiae arrived which made him sprint to her room to find him nowhere to be seen, It was revealed that Huijae hid as he heard the emergency bell and leaves the hospital as he overhears the doctor refuses to perform surgery. However, Hwan signs the forms for the surgery and confronts Huijae. He was shocked to see him still alive despite himself killing him. Hwan leaves to signs some papers and later comforts Yerin but remembers he has a new job. The next day he returns his contract to Mina as he need to save Yerin before he works. He then heads to Inwan Capital to end it. At the same time, Huijae explains to Inwan that he belives that Hwan can resurrects. Inwan doesn't believe it but then Minhyeok Kim calls Inwan if he had finish his job. Believing to be fucked, Huijae tells him that they will finish it today. Inwan then heads for his car but Hwan ambushes him and held him hostage. He stole his car and drives off but his men are right behind to chase him. Suddenly, Hwan stops the car which resulted in an accident. He then exits and prepares to drop Inwan to the sea until Huijae stabs him. This resulted in a public scene which Hujiae attempts to stab again but surprised to see Hwan kills himself. Soon, the news reported of Hwan's death and an arrest for Hujiae and Inwan is in progress. At night, Inwan was about to leave by boat smuggling while Hujiae stays behind to act as an distraction. The latter noticed and heads to find Hwan on their trail as he stole Inwan's phone. Huijae shoots and incapcitates Hwan while Inwan arrives onto the boat but the smugglers secretly betrays him. Back at the fight, Hwan fakes his death so he can light Huijae on fire which resulted him to jump into the sea. Then Hwan points his gun on him but they see Inwan in the boat. He then jumps over to fight while the smugglers set up C4s. Hwan got the upper hand but Hujiae holds him and then Inwan betrays and shoot both. As Hwan drowns, he wakes and swims up to see the boat explodes. Inside, Inwan head inside to call for help but only to hear Minhyeok's voice. He pleases for help but he revealed that he set him up to save the Dowon group. Finally, he reveals about Hyeongseok Cha, Yerin's father, whereabouts which left Inwan in anger as he died from the explosion. As Hwan dies, he hopes that Yerin is still alive as doctors helped resuscitates her which she woke up.[31] |
Meeting Minhyeok Kim[]

The next day, the news reported that the gangster involved was arrested and is effectively disbanded. Yerin is now awake but feels sad about Hwan's death. Soon she learns that Hwan's was the one who signs the paper for her surgery. At night, the new updates that the police finds Inwan and Hwan's corpses. Soon, Yerin request the nurse to see Hwan's apartment. During there, she remembers an odd dream of Hwan helping her. She then heads back to the hospital but finds Hwan was still alive. She sees him and hugs him as she cries while he comforts her. Elsewhere at Dowon Group, Siho Cho presents Hwan's deaths to Minhyeok and deduces Hwan's revival powers.[32]Some time later, Yerin was released from the hospital and prepares to surprise Hwan but sees his apartment dirty like last time. Annoyed she went to her room but was surprised to see it was clean by Hwan. They then meet again and eat home cooked food from Yerin. Hwan compliments Yerin's cooking which reminded her of his father. Soon, a call for Yerin was made in which she will do an interview about her experience and hope it will reach her father as she felt guilty of what she said to him last time. Suddenly, a policeman shows up and brought the news that Yerin's father was dead. Then a public funeral was held for her father as reporters asks her questions which Hwan shooed them away. During the night, the news of her father was revealed that he was found Woomyeon Mountain and his corpse was hanged with a suicide note. Still at the funeral, Yerin revealed that his father was a construction company president whom agreed with a building contract with Minhyeok. However, it led to their ruin and Inwan and his gang harrassed them to the point that the deadline was due and Minhyeok ended the contract which resulted in the Cha family to sell their company and belongings. Before they left, Yerin realizes that Minhyeok and Inwan was working together. Suddenly, Minhyeok arrives and introduces himself as the CEO of Dowon Group and he knew Hyeongseok. He feigns condolences to Yerin and gives her large sum of money but she refuses but he insists and leaves. In his car, he revealed to Siho that he didn't find the file that Hyeongseok hid and decided to head back but Hwan stops the car and confronts him. He takes him to a hotel own by the Dowon Group. Once there, Hwan asks for the group who wronged Yerin but Minhyeok refuses. Hwan asks him that doesn't he hate corrupted higher ups of society and he will stop them. He leaves but Siho slice him and he fell. Then Minhyeok reveals that he was the one responsible and ask if he wants to know what did Hyeongseok found that he killed him for. He revealed that Hyeongseok messed with him to teach him that money isn't everything in the world. He then told Hwan that there are somethings in this world that is impossible to do. Then Hwan laughs and grabs him and retorted his statement and dies. Minhyeok's heart worsen from his excitement but calm down. He ordered Siho to put surviellance camera to record his body. Three days later, Hwan revives and is determine to stop Minhyeok which activated his silent annihilation for a second which confused him. He then heads out to meet with Yerin. As he exits, Minhyeok already place a camera at his apartment and studies Hwan's Revivalist powers. He sees that the body just dissappears and is wondering how useful he will be. Back at the funeral, Yerin's father was cremated and they leave. Hwan asked what Yerin will do which she explain. Then off topic, she ask if they could defeat Minhyeok but Hwan refuses which left Yerin disappointed. However, Hwan plans to do it by himself and an assassin sent by Minhyeok kills him. He revives to see that he had been tied and Minhyeok and his goons were in his house. He asked him to work for him but he refuses. He then leaves his goons to torture him. Throughout the session, Hwan had died 23+ times and then begs for mercy which left Minhyeok glad but disappointed as it was too easy. Elsewhere at a hospital, the police is going to arrest Huijae who has been hosptialized but beats them up and leaves to take revenge. During the torture, it had been 50 times and Minhyeok orders them to transport Hwan. When they did, Hwan, feighing fatigue, attacks the two goons and then fights the main before Minhyeok gets excited at his persistence. Then Hwan burns his house and restrains the main goon with the latter saying that he could die due to his house burned down which Minhyeok was concerned. Hwan then passed out. Coincidentally, Yeongha arrives to his home to find it burning and then a firetruck shows up to stop the fire. Siho arrives to the scene to check while Minhyeok wonders about the home rule. Near elsewhere, Yeongha wakes up Hwan with the latter asking where was the main goon. The goon slashes at them but they dodged. Then he pull a gun but from behind Huijae grabs him and knocks him out. He then ask Hwan a question if he was the one who exploded the boat which Hwan denies. Huijae determines it was Minhyeok and then starts to fight but Yeongha attempts to stop the fight but he was knocked out. They then fought with Hwan trying to get the gun but Huijae has the upper hand. Yeongha gets up and and begins to fight Huijae. A small flashback of Hwan and Yeongha meets up with the latter explaining the harsh reality of the world. The fight was equal until Huijae starts to be more serious. He got the upperhand against him but leaves when civilians recgonizes him. The next day Yeongha wakes up in his house when Hwan ask him to teach him how to fight.[33] |
How To Fight[]

Initially, Yeongha refuses but then he hears Hwan's story of what had happen. He eventually helps him by taking him back to Hanlim Gym. Inside Gwansu Jang was working out when he sees Hwan; having a confrontation against him. He refuses but he will test him at a fight. The fight woke up Gwangcheon Lim and is slightly impressed with Hwan's tenacity. The fight ended as Gwangcheon accepts him into the gum. At Cafe Vene, Yerin gives Mina the file that will harm Dowon Group and prepares herself.[34] A bit later, Hwan was practicing his footwork by tapdancing which annoys him that he is not learning other skills. Afterwards, he keeps tapdancing until night fall where he went to sleep. However, he wakes up to practice again. The next, day his footwork improves, dodging Gwangcheon attacks. Soon they went near a gangster hideout and provoked them. They then ran and gives Hwan Skidpits to arm himself against them. He then defeats them. At night, Minhyeok was taking care of his mom who had develop a mental illness; he then says that he is close to destroy the group White for ruining his life years ago. Elsewhere, Hwan returns to his burned home and runs across Yerin and they spent time together at a nearby park. At the park, Yerin's memories shows that she was trying to find clues against Dowon Group but they were all scared. The next day, Hwan installs a tracking app to her phone and they left. However, Yerin throws her phone away as she is determine to it by herself.[35] |
Yerin's Attack[]

Hwan returns home to rest but hears on the news that Yerin is attacking Dowon Group by having an interview of evidence of their crimes. He then runs to the conference. At the interview, Yerin states of Dowon Group's criminal affairs and has the evidence by her USB file. However, Minhyeok was not fazed and was impressed by her resolve.[36] Soon, Hwan arrives but the interview was finished. Minhyeok plans to subdue the media but then Taejoon Park, the chairman is enraged and comes to the HQ. Arriving at the HQ, he berates and abuses Minhyeok for his incompetence and plans to kill Yerin. He then comes to the elevator but Hwan was inside and takes him hostage. During the interrogation, Minhyeok reveals that the whole Dowon Group is after Yerin. The elevator ends as the goons are there but were hesitant. Minhyeok orders them to kill Hwan and escape back into the elevator before giving him a radio. He fights with the goons as he hears on the radio that they found Yerin at the CYT company. Reinforcement arrives and Hwan jumps out the building and asks a taxi driver to take him to Yerin. However, Hwan lost too much blood and faints but wakes up to see that he was patched up. It was revealed that Mina saves him and explains that Yerin is safe. Taejoon was frustrated at CYT ruining his plans as Minhyeok was smirking. At CYT, Mina shows that Yerin's is determined as she strategizes how to fight against Dowon Group. At Dowon, Minhyeok explains that he will take care of it and tells Siho to contact the Russian Mafia for his retaliation.[37] |
Minhyeok's Retaliation[]

The Russian mafia arrives and meets with Minhyeok and leaves after they make an agreement. At night, Yerin went to sleep until she hears from Hyeongsook Shin that her house was burning. Soon, the mafia causes accidents that killed nearly half of Yerin's Victim Group. Siho believes that this plan is reckless but Minhyeok ensures that the mafia is great at what they do and is excited of his situation. Then Mina contacts Yerin but then her car exploded, seemingly killed.[38] Very soon, the rest of the Vicitm Group march to confront Yerin that it is her fault that they are going to die. However, Hyeongsook repreimaneded them that they all knew what they were getting into. But then Minhyeok calls that he will give them money if they hand over Yerin which they did. However, the mafia takes them all and plans to exit but then Hwan saves them. The rest of the mafia arrives as Hanlim Gym also arrived to help. Initially, the mafia didn't take them serious but Gwangcheon takes them all down except the boss. Hwan saves Yerin but reprimanded the adults that tried to sacrifice her. Soon the taxi from before arrives to help. The boss then escapes to chase after the taxi but then Hwan exits out and jumps towards the mafia and attempts to kill them both when a truck is heading towards them. The truck hits them but they don't die. The boss was then beaten up by Hwan and exits elsewhere to die from his wounds. Yerin then arrives to a building to find Mina still alive. Hwan enter into the sewer to die but then pulls the radio to talk to Minhyeok. Thanks to Minhyeok, he was able to save Mina but he won't play his game and dies. After, Minhyeok monologues if Hwan wanted to know what is the rule of his revival. The next day, the news reported that the attack on the bridge was incited by the Russian mafia and the police suspects that they were hired by the Dowon Group. Taejoon was enraged against Minhyeok but the latter revealed that he setting up a trap for him and the police soon arrives to arrest Taejoon. Very soon, the news reported Taejoon's corruption and Hyeongsook taking the blame for the situation. Minhyeok hold a conference to apologize for the group's corruption. At night, it was revealed that Minhyeok was the one who sent the file to Yerin through Hyeongsook in return for large sum of money for her family. Then Hwan revives in Mina's home in her bed. |

In Japan, Seonggyu Choi, the vice president of Dowon Group, hears that Minhyeok replaced Taejoon and is eager to go back. Mina was surprised of Hwan's appearance and the latter was forced to explain about his revival powers. Then he asked where was Yerin and she was in the police detention center. At Dowon Group, the rest of the higher ups were going to expel Minhyeok from the group but then Seonggyu arrives.[39] The latter threatens Minhyeok but it was revealed that half of the higher ups actually sides with him due to Siho. He then orders that an election will be held for the 3rd president of Dowon Group. Seonggyu accepts as well. Hwan arrives to pick up Yerin but she refuses as she doesn't want other to be harmed by her. Suddenly Hwan throws up blood due to his powers. At Dowon, the higher ups were scared of Seonggyu as they will be killed by him if he becomes president but Minhyeok is confident in winning. At the car, Minhyeok falls asleep and a flashback backstory starts. Backstory of his teenage years from Terrorman reveals of his frail heart and his debt from it. He rose to the top but still felt weak like he was before. However, he soon taste the absolute power and enjoys it; being corrupted and become the people that he hated long ago. He then find his mother's mental health to deteriorates at the same time he was close to getting back at White. Flashback ends and arrives to his house but sees Hwan was inside. Earlier, Hwan interrogates a goon to get Minhyeok's address and stakes out but his mother lets him thinking he was Jungwoo Min. Suddenly, Minhyeok had a heart attack from hi the confrontation and passes out until he awakes from the pills he takes. He then asked why he didnt kill him is due to his mother being there. He asked for a one on one and as he leaves. Minhyeok having irrational anger shoots his mother to show he doesn't have any weakness. They then fought as Minhyeok suggests his limit of revival but Hwan was distracted by his mother and was killed. He revives in Mina's house and sees that the police was after him. He finds that Minhyeok framed him as an armed suspect. As he escapes, Huijae abushes him and starts to fight when Hwan tells him to stop. But they starts to fight. Then Hwan suggests that they work together to take down a common enemy. Then the police arrives as they fight them together. Before Hwan's revival, the police revealed to Yerin that Hwan shot Minhyeok's mother. The two defeated the police and Huijae decided to join him. Then Hwan calls Mina with the latter telling him to come over as Yerin wanted to tell him something. He arrives to find that Yerin wanted him to run away with her to get away from Dowon Group. Hwan exists and Mina explained that Yerin didn't want him to suffer for her and want to return the favor. Elsewhere, Jinho Cho, second-in-command of Seonggyu, worries of the higherups allying with Minhyeok but Seonggyu was not worried. Then Jinho showed a member of Jaewoo group as Seonggyu interrogates him to reveal about Yerin and the USB. At night, Hwan and Yerin agrees to run away as it is their best option. Then Jiho already sent some mean after them as the USB is what they after. However, Hwan over power them and takes a car and runs. In a hospital, Minhyeok was comforting his mother and remembers how she didn't want to be a nuisance to him. He considering stopping her air mask but decides not to. Hwan and Yerin finds a place to sleep as they sleep together while Hwan comforts her. She then blames herself for Hwan's trouble but he replied that she shouldn't worry as he wanted to help. At the warehouse, Seonggyu was angered at his men's failure and his pride was hurt so he ordered Jinho to find them in two days. Elsewhere at the country side, Hwan and Yerin arrives to his own home when he was stilling living with his father. They find the house to be in disarray and they clean it up. Yerin cleans as she finds a box and inside was Hwan's funeral picture. Twenty years ago in a flashback, Hwan died as his father was depressed at his funeral. Suddenly, Jaeho Seok, Hwan's uncle arrives and meets them; they had a small conversation before they leave. But then Hwan chases him to ask if he knew that he died long ago and revealed that he died in a car crash years ago and as Junghyeon arrives home. he find Hwan alive as he cried. Yerin then called Mina about how she found his funeral picture. Not wanting to reveal, she dismissed it. Soon Yeongha comes to her house to protect her as a favor from Hwan. They then heads to Hwan's apartment as she remembers something will happen soon in the Dowon Group. Suddenly, Jinho shows up to subdue them both. Yeongha fights him and the two had an equal stand off but Jinho got the advantage. Suddenly, Mina told him to stop but she refuses to give up Yerin and Hwan. Then Yerin's phone rings to find that Jinho has captured them both. He sent a picture of them being buried in Jeongneug Mountains. They hurriedly heads to the location and as Hwan drives, he remembers that his father told him his power is cursed. Back on the subject, he calls Hanlim Gym to find them as they believe they are at Maun Mountain. Meanwhile, Yeongha and Min are being buried. It seems that they wre too late but Huijae save them on time. Back at the warehouse, Jinho relays the good news to Seonggyu which he was pleased and then heads out but Hwan crashes into them with the car. Before the gangsters attacks him, he throws pesticide smoke to confuse them. Jinho ordered everyone to get out to find him but Hwan was prepared as he takes them out one by one outside. Jinho fights him but was taken down but before he kills him, Seonggyu shoots him from behind. However, accidentally activating silent annihilation, he kills Seonggyu in one hit and then chases Siho.[40] |

| However, Hwan's wounds open and seemingly passes out. Back at Dowon Group, Minhyeok is informed of Seonggyu's death as was sadden by his premature death. He orders Siho to tell the board members and her brother to meet at Callas. In a car, the board members were going to betray Minhyeok and plans to go to Callas for fun as they plan to have Seolhee as their hostess. Elsewhere, Seolhee, also known as Siwoo Ha, the ace hostess of Callas refuses their request as she doesn't deal with gangsters.[41] She heads into Callas and finds Hwan and Huijae arriving inside. Just before, Minhyeok and the board members are inside and the latter persuades him to stay in his position. Hwan and Hujiae confronts them and plans to kill him but he informed them that his mother died. Hwan decided to let him go for his mother's funeral but then a C4 under the table exploded killing the members. Then he arrives in his car but Hwan jumps out onto his car and fights. They escape but Huijae shoots the car and they crash just before he faints. Hwan grabs him and before he kills, his wound opens and as he slumps Minhyeok tell him that his cost of revival is by using others people lifeforce as a sacrifice. He then faints. At the hospital Yeongha and Mina recovered.
The next couple of days, the news reported Minhyeok's mother's passing, arrest of Hwan and the fail arrest on Jinho. Mina stays in the hospital for more care while Yeongha recovered. Yerin and Mina were having a small conversation outside before returning back and soon Mina passed away all of a sudden. During the funeral, Hwan asked if anyone they know had died during his torture session and was revealed that people that they knew in highschool, middle school, and the orphanage had died. Simultaneously, Minhyeok was looking at a board with Hwan's circle of friends and associates with many had been killed. Distraught, he realizes that he may had killed Yerin's father. Couple of years ago when Yerin left her father, Hwan remembered that he had bonded with Yerin's father. As he was in the streets, he still refuses the notion but Minhyeok sends him the board and believed that he did kill everyone he knew. Just then Siwoo approached him about Minhyeok but refuses to not let anyone died. Hwan went back to his old apartment; depressed and then Yerin arrives to comfort him but he told her that they won't see each other again. Elsewhere, Siwoo draws the picture that Minhyeok sent and discovers his plot. Jinho and Minhyeok meets up with the former refuses to be chairman but helps him to be but the latter declines. He tries to threaten but his sister stops him. Later on he decides to do this own way and sends a bounty of Hwan for all the nearby gangsters including Hujiae and Gwangcheon. Hwan was near the construction site when he was surrounded by gangsters for his bounty. He flees as they foung amongst themselves. Elsewhere, Hanlim Gym was attacked but the members defended it and Yerin. Back with Hwan, he was held by the glasses gangster and then a school girl coincidentally saw them. The gangster tries to kill her but Hwan knocks him out and tells her to walk away. He took his guns and ambush the remaining gangsters. In the morning, the gangsters are defeated and Gwangcheon finds Hwan. Simultaneously, it is revealed Huijae and Siwoo are working together due to her help in nursing him back to health. Then Siwoo leaves to go to the orphange. Hwan and Gwangcheon arrives in a forest to train but the latter was killed by a bounty hunter and incapacitates Hwan. However, it is revealed that the hunter is a friend of Gwangcheon and they planned to help Hwan by training him for two weeks. Hwan wakes up and is being hunted (trained) by the hunter for couple of days until Hwan gain an improved sense of hearing to defeat the hunter. But he was knocked out again. At a private Dowon place, Minhyeok and Siho meets with the first chairman, Dowon Cho, whom sides with him but asked him why did he killed his mother. He replied with a laugh and says that his group is only a tool for him. Dowon realizes that his drive is vengeance and ask whom is it directed to. Back with Hwan, he became well adjusted in his training and the two fights up until morning as the hunter believes he is ready. However, Hwan accidentally activates his silent annihlation and almost kills him but Gwangcheon arrives, deactivating his power and faints. Back with Minhyeok, Siho reports of their near success, Hwan's whereabouts and Siwoo's investigation on him. Simultaneously, Siwoo was investigating the area when she was kidnapped by gangsters but Huijae saves her. He then asks her why does she risk her life and responded that she hates people like Minhyeok whiles a direct reference from her past when her sister Miwoo Ha, is assassinated in front of her. Minhyeok was reported of Siwoo's escape but ignores it and arrives to meet higher ups of soceity and gives them the lobby list of the Dowon Groups meeting in return if they ignore his criminal activities and they eventually agrees to do so. Back in the forest, Gwangcheon shows Hwan his secret stash of weapons and teaches him how to use them and trains physically as well over the couple of days. In the meanwhile, Siwoo and Huijae investigaes Mina's death and later meets with Hwan. She reveals that the deaths that Hwan caused was not him but murdered by Minhyeok as Mina was killed by a corrupted doctor bought by him. They then plan to sneak inside the hotel that the Dowon are using and make Hwan set up a save point while avoiding Minhyeok. However, they met Minhyeok and Siho attempts to check her luggage but he let Siwoo slide and leaves. Siho asks why he lets her and replied that he enjoys the fight between Hwan and him. Hwan and Siwoo arrives in their room and she gives him sleeping pills to activate the save point. As he sleeps he has a nightmare of the people that died and wakes up. They then head back to Huijae and is about to kill Hwan with his smuggled weapons on him as he can teleport things on him. However Siwoo gets the message that Minhyeok decides to change the election day tomorrow instead of two days later. Luckily, Hwan stops him as he predicts it as well. Huijae then cancels the plan and infiltrates inisde as he has an invitation and ends his alliance with Hwan. Then Minhyeok calls him as he threatens to kill Yerin but Hwan, unfazed, has an ace in his sleeve which is the Hanlim gym. Elsewhere, Siho was uncomfortable about Minhyeok being cold to her as she arrives to her grandfather's house to find her brother. He declares to kill Minhyeok soon and adamantly warns her that Minhyeok is only using her and will throw her away once he becomes CEO. At Hanlim Gym, they find it to be empty and finds Yerin sleeping soundly, soon the guys arrives and Yeongha shows them their armored car and they prepared to fight. At the Dowon election, Jinho meets with Daecheon Kim, the Busan Yukseong gang leader as they plan a coup de'taet. Huijae then enters the building as the last one to arrive. Soon the election starts but then suddenly an armored truck is suddenly speeding through and is about to smash the entrance, initiating the attack.[42] |

However, the gangsters were able to stop the truck and gets near it. The meeting inside had started as Jinho doesn't see her sister, Siho, anywhere. As Minheyok was speaking; the coup de'taet was about to happen but he then turns the tables at them and signals his men to kill everyone who was invited including Daecheon. Everyone was in disarray as Huijae and Jinho hides behind cover. Suddenly, they hear an explosion and somehow Hwan and Yeongha made it inside.[43] They run and dodge the bullet fire and hides behind the tables while Minhyeok escapes. Hwan and Huijae teams up to kill the remaining gangsters and chases Minhyeok while Jinho was right behind them. Just before, Hwan and Yeongha gets out of the truck which was filled with propane tanks. Soon it exploded, blocking the main entrance which cuts Minhyeok's escape. They confronted him but Jinho from above fires at them, causing them disperse. This allowed Minhyeok to escape while Yeongha deals with Jinho. As they fought, a flashback of Jinho's upbringing was shown. After it ended, the fight ended at a draw as they fainted. Hwan and Huijae chases Minhyeok but he went into the elevator to the roof. They then chase him by stairs. Arrving at the roof, they see a helicopter going to pick up Minhyeok and there was cover fire for him. Hwan then runs and uses his Silent Annihilation to ignore the bullet fire and jumps into the helicopter. However, his power deactivated and was pushed off the helicopter. However, just before, he lit up the cola grenade and it exploded the helicopter. It crash onto the roof but Minhyeok was still alive. Huijae gives Hwan a hand gun and the latter approached him. In the last moment, Minhyeok silently cries as he was shot in the head, finally dead. Hwan faints and Huijae checks Minhyeok's pulse to confirm he is dead. Soon after, Huijae is about to leave Korea before he says goodbye to Siwoo. The latter asked him why did he wanted to take revenge besides avenging his boss. However, before he could say anything, it cuts back to Yeongha, alive and being treated in the hospital. Then the news reported that the Dowon Group had been disbanded and the incident at the hotel. Simultaneously, Gwangcheon and the bounty hunter are having a drink and is glad to see that the Dowon group is gone. The next day Yerin was making food for Hwan and hears the door open to find someone not him.[44] |

Three days later, somehow the Hanlim Gym had exploded, severely injuring Gwangcheon and announcing Dowon officially disbanded. Hwan finds Yerin's home to be ransacked and a call was made by Minhyeok, revealing he was still alive. He revealed that he himself also has the power like him and kidnapped Yerin. He then tells him that Yerin will die by injection and he will suffer forever. Later to night, Dowon group retracted their statement and will continue existing and reform to be called "M&H Group" with its chairman, Minhyeok Kim. The next day, he was ready for work and says his goodbyes to his mother, revealing she was alive. At the HQ, Jinho attempted to kill him but was shot. As he laid dying, he revealed that Siho sacrifice herself to be his double and he couldn't believe a foolish woman like her existed as Jinho dies. Simultaneously, Dowon Cho was killed. At night, Hwan meets up with Siwoo and ask her the location of the picture of Minhyeok and his mother. At his home, he was informed of mother's departure and orders all security to withdraw as Hwan approaches. At the confrontation, Hwan remembers that he wanted to make him his soldier so he knows that he won't harm Yerin but he replied that the bomb on her neck will detonated if he make his heart rise. Soon they talk. Hwan ask him what is goal and Minheyok reveals that everything he had done will be enacting revenge against the cultist "White." A small flashback shows Minhyeok trying to recruit his best friend Jungwoo Min, Terrorman, to work together to defeat them but he refuses. He believes that Minhyeok was not ready to face the monster that is "White' and asks him to forget revenge and live a peaceful life. Furstrated and feeling betrayed, he tries to find a better solution then his friend in which was Hwan. Minheyok revealed that the suffering he inflicted on him was trials to see he was worthy for him and then tells him to choose to kill him or Yerin but then Yerin wakes up and tells Hwan to not listen to him. She then tries to suicide by tampering the collar to detonate but Minhyeok deactivates it. Hwan then resumes beating up Minhyeok. An hour ago, Minhyeok's mother wakes up and tells the driver to take her back home to tell her son something before her dementia takes over. Back at the house, Minhyeok runs away as Hwan chase him but the former sneak attacks him but Yerin, holding a gun shoots at him but Hwan save him and tells her to not dirty her hands and let him do it. He then proceeds to snap his neck as he struggles. As he lays there seemingly dead. Hwan and Yerin proceeds toleave but Minhyeok's mother and the driver arrives, The driver tries to shoot them but the mother stops him. He beratingly ignores her but was killed by Minhyeok, still alive. He tried to shoot Hwan and Yerin but his mother block him. As he points the gun, he remembers when he shots his mother and instantly regrets it as he regains his rationality. After her treatment, he promises to not her be hurt again. He drops to his knees and his gun as his mother hugs for the last time before she shoots her son, finally dead. She then comforts his body as she explains that she knew that her son ws doing an unforgivable act but deluded herself that he wouldn't had done that. She will correct her son's sins by revealing to the public about it. As they leave, Yerin remembers it was her who stopped her anesthetic so that she can wake up earlier. The next day, the news reported that Minhyeok's mother turn herself in as she was the one who killed her son. She explains to the public of her son's and the Dowon's Group's criminal activites that became a major controversy. The corrupted politicians that aided Minhyeok was also expelled and arrested along with the remaining higher ups of Dowon Group as the group was permanently wiped from Korea. The victims of Dowon was given huge sum of money as an apology and the wanted poster of Hwan was removed. This span around two weeks as Minhyeok's mother passed away three days after Dowon's downfall. At the same time, Gwangcheon recovered from his injuries. Sometime later, New Years had come around as Yerin was in the hospital comforting Hwan who was in a coma for four weeks. In his subconsciousness, he waited until his father had arrived and speaks with him. He spoked to him about how he understands what was the curse of his power. Elsewhere, Huijae was at the columbarium to find Minhyeok's ash. He revealed that the other reason he hated Minhyeok was that his gang died without knowing the tragic truth. He smashes his urn hoping he won't rest at the after life. Sometime later, Yerin was nearly graduating high school as Hwan was being interviewed but failed again. Then Yerin proposes that they are going to have fun as they went to the movies, eating ice cream and taking pictures. As they walk, he understands the curse which was that many people were chasing after it for its power. He says goodbye to his father. At that moment, Hwan and Yerin holds hands, in a probable romantic fashion. Just then, behind them was Siwoo and Jungwoo whom had arrived back to Korea from overseas. Siwoo didn't know that Minhyeok was his friend but still believed that he got what was coming. She then ask if he was going to take revenge for his friend but he decline as he thinks that what Minhyeok had done was his own fault. However, he uses his Eyes of Misfortune to see the purple fog around Hwan believing that he will be too dangerous in the future do to his ability. An ability that he witness when he first met Hwan long ago. |
Criticism & Evaluation[]
It boasts the highest number of views among Superstring 's works . A good amount of content in the beginning, a cool plot, and a unique protagonist and the attractive main villain. It gained quite a bit of popularity. Jaehan Kim's ability to express situations and Yongtaek Chae's solid story are receiving favorable reviews.[45]
Season 0 had been criticized for changing its genre to a school drama and slow development. In the end, it did gain favorable reviews again due to new plot and characters of Super String[45]
